WHAT CAN YOU DO WHEN YOU SUDDENLY HAVE NO WATER?

It’s most likely going to happen when it’s least convenient for you. You wake up, preparing to go to work, or come home after a hard day at work and are looking to relax. Even on Sunday morning, WelGard® gets calls for Members without water.  No water… No fun….

When WelGard® members call in after experiencing a sudden out of water “moment”, we ask a few questions to try to get the water back on immediately, and  without  waiting for a service call. We’d like to provide some of these questions to you in a series of messages over the next several months. You can certainly try these yourselves.

The most common reason for a sudden stop in your water supply is that the pump has stopped. The pressure gauge will usually read 0 PSI, and a call to us is appropriate. But the first step – before you call – is to reset the circuit breaker for the well pump. You can do this by going to your circuit breaker panel, identify the circuit breaker specifically for your well pump; and even if it looks like it’s engaged/on, we recommend that you turn it to the off position and wait one to two minutes before firmly placing it back into the on position.

We found that this works a significant percentage of the time to restore the power supply, and hence the water supply. We suggest that as soon as you have no water, this should be the first step that you try to restore your water supply. Feel free to call us at WelGard at anytime.

While this may solve the problem, continue to monitor, and if it trips the circuit breaker again, call us.  Something else is wrong.

And ALWAYS, we’re ready for your emergency calls 24/7/365

Thanks for being a member and letting us help.
